Lipid-lowering Drugs (Statins)

Most of the statins can interfere with the natural biosynthesis of CoEnzyme Q10 in the liver. Consider supplementation with CoEnzyme Q10 if patient is taking statins.
Drugs for Weight Loss

Xenical (Alli) has been shown to reduce the absorption of certain fat-soluble vitamins and nutrients. Although it is not a vitamin, CoQ10 is a fat-soluble nutrient. Consider supplementation with CoEnzyme Q10 if patient is taking Xenical (Alli) and stagger doses.
