  • Lecithin (phosphatidylcholine) is a structural element of the membranes of various cells. Phosphatidylcholine is a part of lipoproteins such as chylomicron, LDL and HDL, which carry dietary fat and transport them to various tissues.
  • Dietary fat incorporated into phospholipids such as lecithin are used for eicosanoid synthesis.
